Fraudsters continue to compromise the new payment method on OLX

The scammers on OLX are still on the prowl. The new scam shows that cybercriminals adapt to the changes of the website creators and constantly improve their methods. In September, the platform launched its payment system and buyer protection program. The transaction service quickly became a breeding ground for fraudsters who immediately created fake versions of the portal.

Fictional invoice with virus. Alarm for Orange Polska customers

As part of the latest campaign, cybercriminals want to use the end of the month as a period for sending invoices for services to Orange Polska's customers. "Criminals are again impersonating our company, attaching malicious files containing the ZLoader banker instead of real documents" - warns the operator's CERT. Again they impersonate our invoices, be careful and warn those you think you need to.

Fake text messages on COVID-19 positive test result. The Polish government warns

Fraudsters and thieves are not idle and decided to take advantage of the current situation in Poland related to the growing number of coronavirus infections. As we read on the government website of the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate, Polish citizens began to receive text messages with the following content: Sanitary Inspection: Please contact us immediately by phone number 57 ... regarding a positive COVID-19 result.
